School Trip

The Arabian Desert is a vast desert wilderness in Western Asia. It stretches from Yemen to the Persian Gulfand Oman to Jordan and Iraq. It occupies most of the Arabian Peninsula. It is the fifth largest desert in the world, and the largest in Asia. At its center is The Empty Quarter, one of the largest continuous bodies of sand in the world.

The Qanun is a string instrument played either solo, or more often as part of an ensemble, in much of the Middle East, Maghreb, West Africa, Central Asia, and southeastern regions of Europe.

The Nay , is an end-blown flute that figures prominently in Middle Eastern music. In some of these musical traditions, it is the only wind instrument used. The ney has been played continually for 4,500–5,000 years, making it one of the oldest musical instruments still in use.
